Client review

The preview page identifies the person who owns the ShootFeed account, for example, “Joey Wright shared this post for your review.” The selected profile or brand remains in the header. The ShootFeed logo opens the public introduction page. Shared-link cards use the post’s current cover image (or prepared video cover) and a title naming that person, instead of the generic ShootFeed marketing image. If an older owner account is no longer available, the preview uses the personal name of the ShootFeed account that created the link. If neither name is available, the introduction stays generic rather than substituting a brand name or email address. Messaging apps can retain an older card after a link was already sent. Turning off a link blocks future preview and image requests; it cannot remove copies already received by a messaging app.

Client review is available only when enabled for the deployment. If Clients or Share with clients is absent, do not claim it is active.

An owner or admin invites clients by email in Settings → Profiles → the profile’s collapsed Clients section below Watch folders. Invitations expire after seven days until accepted. The client signs in with the same verified email and chooses Accept invitation. An expired invitation can be renewed; Revoke removes future access immediately and removes the client from the visible list. Renewing replaces the old invitation link. To restore a revoked client, enter the same email and choose Invite client again. A new invitation is sent, and the client must accept it before access resumes. If the invitation opens under a different account, choose Switch account and sign in with the email that received it.

On their first visit, signed-in clients see Welcome to ShootFeed client review, a short guide explaining how to open a post and leave feedback in Notes on its detail page. Got it or the close button dismisses it for the current browser session. Selecting Don’t show again before dismissal remembers that choice for that signed-in account in that browser. Public view-only preview links do not show this guide.

The client’s post library uses the schedule’s card, compact grid and calendar views. All shows active planning posts in independently collapsible Scheduled, Unscheduled and Pending review sections. Posted history appears only under Posted in card and compact-grid views. Status tabs show All, Pending, Approved and Posted. The shared filter menu includes platform, photo/video, mention and schedule filters, with sorting available in card and compact-grid views. Filters apply across all shared posts before pagination. The calendar uses the same Week/Month layout as the manager’s calendar, including day cells, date labels, media placement and same-day post navigation. Only posts assigned to a date appear. Undated posts remain in card and compact-grid views. All matching shared posts in the visible period load, including those beyond the first page. Dates and times use the profile’s timezone. Cards show saved publishing platforms, mentions, dates, carousel navigation and each platform/account’s caption. The plain platform icon and name sit above a two-line caption preview. A truncated caption shows its full text on desktop hover; clicking or tapping opens the full read-only caption inside the card. Platform arrows and action-button heights match the manager’s cards. Expanding a caption grows only that card. Video cards use the same muted desktop-hover and mobile-scroll previews, with prepared cover frames, a centered play control when idle and a blurred playback background. Platform arrows work in both states. Copy copies the expanded caption and Done collapses it. Review post opens the existing read-only detail view and Notes. Back to Schedule preserves the current view and filters. The detail page’s Previous and Next buttons move between posts in that review view, with unavailable directions disabled. Instagram preview is available when the shared library includes Instagram posts. It uses the shared profile summary, photo/Reels tabs, carousel controls and date chips, scoped to the shared posts and their selected Instagram accounts. Clients have no drag, reorder, editing, scheduling, approval, publishing, publishing-account management or bulk-action controls.

Before any client is invited, Share with clients in Post details opens the current profile’s Clients settings and focuses Client email. Once a current client invitation exists, every post in that profile shows the Client review accordion. Its Share this post with clients switch controls individual post visibility. In Clients settings, Share all posts is a profile-wide option, initially off. Turning it on includes current and future Pending, Approved and Posted items for the profile’s accepted clients. The post switch then stays on and is controlled by Client settings. Turning Share all off restores the earlier individual sharing choices. Rejected, trashed and other-profile posts remain private. Existing clients are not automatically opted into Share all. Withdrawing individual sharing retains the notes/history. A public preview link alone does not show the accordion. Post details shows the selected publishing accounts, format, and saved target or schedule date. Clients can inspect relevant publishing settings, tags and credits, location, and each platform’s separate caption and title. Reddit copy is separated by account; Pinterest includes its saved board and website link. Tags & credits appears before Captions, matching the editor. Multiple media items have the same arrows and Post images panel as the editor. Its collapsible Media delivery summary shows each selected platform’s delivery counts, crop adjustments, omitted media and format warnings. It is read-only, with the same expandable platform rows as the editor. Invited clients can add notes and reply in Notes. The manager’s Client review section is collapsible and opens from a note notification. All accepted clients for that profile can see its shared posts and discussion history. They cannot edit, schedule, approve or publish posts, access account connections, or browse other profiles. Performance and publishing-management controls are omitted.

Client notes appear in the post’s Client review section and create an in-app notification for the workspace. Manager replies appear in the same conversation. Invitations and note emails come from ShootFeed Client Review <[email protected]>. When email delivery is enabled, each note also sends a branded email containing the full note and a Respond button. Client notes notify the manager who shared the post and other managers participating in that discussion. Manager notes notify the profile’s accepted clients, excluding the sender. Respond opens that post’s discussion in the correct manager or client view; signing in is still required. Delivery is queued durably and attempted after saving the note, with the existing background dispatcher handling deferred attempts. Revoked access suppresses unsent mail. An invitation marked Email queued is not proof of delivery. Held delivery needs support reconciliation before retrying. Note emails do not attach post media. This requires the additive note-email schema before deployment.

Publishing approval always remains with the manager. Sharing a post or writing a note never changes its approval or publishing status.

Copy post preview link in Post details creates a separate, view-only link to that one post. Anyone with the link can open it without signing in. It shows the same post information and media, never the profile’s post list or review discussions. Notes remains available only in the invited-client view. The open link grants no editing, note, approval or publishing access. Turn off link revokes it. Links expire after 30 days; copying an active link reuses it. Rejected, trashed, moved or archived-profile posts are unavailable. This needs the additive preview-link schema before deployment.

Managers can turn off Email notifications in Settings → Notifications. Invited clients open their profile menu → Notifications for the same personal setting. Their notification inbox shows manager notes on currently shared posts, with Respond, read/unread and dismiss controls. Its header follows the owner inbox: Notifications and a short description on the left, unread count, sort, filters and Mark all read on the right, with Close in the top-right corner. Revoked profile access and withdrawn posts are excluded. This inbox requires the additive review-notification-state migration. It applies across profiles and suppresses unsent note emails, without removing conversations or changing in-app alerts. New access invitations and essential account emails remain separate.

The client profile menu includes personal account settings, Sign out, and Light, Dark or System appearance. Publishing-account connections remain manager-only.

The Instagram view uses the regular profile summary, account and planning-section menus, filter, four-icon navigation row and confetti button. Grid and Reels work; mix and tagged icons are decorative. The selected Instagram destination supplies its public profile photo, name, biography and website through an invitation-scoped endpoint. Only accounts selected on currently shared, available posts are included. No publishing or account-management controls are exposed.

Posts with review notes show a chat chip in the image’s bottom-right corner. A colored count marks unread notes; the icon remains after they are read. Selecting it opens that post’s Notes. Only notes actually displayed are marked read. Profile summaries also show the current client count.
