Tags, credits, and contacts
The post detail editor has Tags & credits controls and platform caption sections. Review the correct person and platform identity before applying a mention. When a name or username field offers suggestions, use the Up and Down Arrow keys to move through them and Enter to select the highlighted contact. Settings → Contacts manages reusable identities. Supported provider tagging differs from text mentions, so a typed handle alone does not guarantee a native photo tag. Do not infer identities from a user's picture or expose another profile's contacts. Report an incorrect identity match or a tag that is not preserved with the selected platform and post context.
Dragging mentions into a new order in the detail editor saves that order automatically when you drop them. Reordering alone does not show Save Changes or change your selected publishing accounts. Other unsaved caption edits still need to be saved.
For an unexplained wrong person or face match, first review and correct the affected post's identity in Tags & credits. Include the selected platform and post/media context when reporting it. An incorrect post match does not establish that Face Library references are wrong: do not remove or replace reference photos, delete contacts, or regenerate captions as a presumed remedy. If the source is unclear or the post identity cannot be corrected, contact support for review. Help cannot identify the person in a photo or perform these changes.
In the main grid, an unsaved mention edit triggers the Unsaved changes dialog before switching views or filters or leaving the page. Save & Leave saves the mention first; Discard Changes drops the draft; Stay on Page keeps the editor open. An unchanged mention editor does not trigger the warning.
TikTok controls and platform choices are hidden from beta users and the public until approval; private TikTok setup and publishing remain available only to the ShootFeed owner. Do not suggest those owner-only controls to ordinary users.
In Settings → Contacts, tap the star beside a contact to add them to Favorites. Favorites appear as quick suggestions when you first focus a post’s name or username field, before typing. Username suggestions use that contact’s saved handle for the selected platform. The first-use Star your go-to contacts tip explains this; Got it dismisses it, and About favorites reopens it. Favorites do not automatically add a credit to every post.
Saving a mention updates its managed caption footer without discarding other unsaved caption or detail edits. A failed mention save keeps those drafts open for retry. Saving a mention does not save unrelated caption text; use Save Changes for those edits.
